Welcome to my world. I am Henrik I. Christensen. I am a professor of computing at UC San Diego. I am also the director of the UC San Diego Contextual Robotics Institute. I was the founding director of the Georgia Tech Institute for Robotics and Intelligent Machines. I was born and raised in Frederikshavn, Denmark and received my college and graduate education from Aalborg University, Denmark. I have since then held position at Aalborg University, Oak Ridge National Laboratory, University of Pennsylvania, Swedish Royal Institute of Technology, Georgia Tech prior to joining UC San Diego. My research is on a systems approach to robotics and I work closely with a broad range of companies such as Boeing, PSA, BMW, … In my spare time I enjoy gourmet food, good wine, and photography.
